Héctor Villalba’s 8 Tattoos & Their Meanings

Héctor Daniel “Tito” Villalba is a Paraguayan professional football player. He plays for Club Libertad and the Paraguay National Team as a winger. Hector has some pretty interesting tattoos on his body. Let us take a look at them and the meanings behind them.

1. ‘Jesus’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The right shoulder of the player has the face of Jesus Christ tattooed on it. Christ is seen looking downwards and is wearing a crown made of thorns.

Meaning: The tattoo on his shoulder represents his religious views. The tattoo of Christ represents his Christian faith and how Jesus sacrificed his life to save humanity.

2. ‘Heart’ Tattoo

Tattoo: Below the tattoo of the face of Jesus, his right arm has a tattoo of a heart on it. The heart has a chain of thorns wrapped around it and is dripping blood. There is also a cross on top of it surrounded by flames.

Meaning: The tattoo design is a popular tattoo in the Christian faith and is called the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ. The heart represents, “God’s boundless and passionate love for mankind”

3. ‘Cherubs’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The upper part of his right forearm contains a few cherubs tattooed on it. There is also a dove bird tattooed above the cherubs with light behind it.

Meaning: The cherubs which are baby angels on his forearm represent guardian angels. They are a symbol of innocence and protect the bearer and his family from harm. The dove on his arm is also a symbol of his faith and represents the Holy Spirit.

Tattoo: The back of Tito’s right arm, just above his elbow contains a medal tattooed on it. The medal contains the cross in the middle with the letters, “C S S M L – N D S M D” which stands for, “Crux sacra sit mihi lux! Numquam Draco sit mihi dux!” The letters, “C S P B” are also present on the side of the cross. The letters stand for, “Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti”

Meaning: The medal on Villalba’s arm is the backside of the Medal of Saint Benedict. The letters and the writing mean, “May the holy cross be my light! May the dragon never be my overlord!” The letters, “C S P B” means, “The Cross of our Holy Father Benedict”. The tattoo of Saint Benedict’s medal represents the Villalba prays to him for protection. St. Benedict’s motto is, “Ora et Labora” which means “Pray and Work” which is what the player believes in. Hector got the tattoo in 2013 when his San Lorenzo team won the Championship of the Argentine Primera División.

5. ‘Roses’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The lower side of his right forearm has two rose flowers tattooed on it.

6. Name Tattoo

Tattoo: The side of his forearm has the name, “Juana” tattooed on it.

Meaning: The name on his forearm represents the name of his beloved mother, Juana Villalba.

7. ‘Numerals’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The roman numerals, “XIX V MCM..” is tattooed around his right wrist. The whole date has not been revealed in his pictures.

Meaning: The date represents 19 May of the 1900s which represents the date of birth of his mother, Juana Villalba. Though the whole date is not seen, the rumors suggest that it is his mother’s date of birth.

8. ‘Lion’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The side of Hector’s right thigh has the face of a lion tattooed on it.

Meaning: Hector showcased the tattoo on one of his Instagram stories. The tattoo of the lion on his thigh represents his sun sign, Leo. Hector was born on 26 July 1994 and the tattoo represents a part of him and his personality.
