Jérôme Agyenim Boateng popularly known as Jerome Boateng is a German professional footballer who plays for Bayern Munich and the Germany national team as a defender. He signed for Hamburger SV and was able to make himself an important part of the team by helping them reach twice at UEFA Europa League semi-finals. However, before joining Hertha BSC in 2002 he was the part of youth team of Tennis Borussia Berlin. He has been the part of German National Team since 2009. Jerome Boateng is a die-hard fan of getting multiple inks on his body. He claims to have dedicated whole of his body to his inks. 1. ‘Agyenim’ Tattoo
Tattoo: Jerome has a spot of ink which shows“Agyenim” written on his right forearm. Agyenim is his second name.
2. ‘Trust Believe’ Tattoo
Tattoo: Jerome has intricate designs covering both his forearms. However, there are words “Believe” and “Trust“, “Faith” inked in between these designs on his left forearm.
3. Faces of his daughters Soley and Lamia
Tattoo: Jerome has two daughters of whom he is very fond of. Soley and Lamia are his twin girls who were born to him in March 2011.
4. ‘World Cup’ Tattoo
Tattoo: In the honour of the victory of his country i.e Germany in the FIFA World Cup in 2014, Jerome got a tattoo in the tribute of this victory.

Tattoo: The “happy and sad masks” are inked on footballer’s both legs, simultaneously. Comedy and Tragedy masks represent the comedy and tragedy in theatre and relate to Greek tradition.

Tattoo: Jerome has a huge linear ink on his back which consists of the 21 names of the members of his family. The ink is supposed to have taken 1.5 hours to complete and was done by the Tattoo Artist in South Africa just a day before the start of the World Cup of 2010.

Tattoo: Jerome’s twin daughters Soley and Lamia who were born in March 2011 are Jerome’s pride and joy. He has got their names, footprints and DOB inked on the inner side of his upper arm.
“Now my two girls are always with me,” says Jerome. “That gives me more power on and off the pitch.”
8. ‘Eye Of Fatima’ Tattoo
Tattoo: Jerome has ink on his upper back which contains the Hamsa Ink i.e The Eye of Fatima, or Hamsa Hand. The Hamsa ink is the representation of five symbols and thus, five fingers. It brings happiness, luck, health, and good fortune. The eye in the tattoo is known to keep eye on the evil and thus, keep them away. Hamsa hand is also known as Hand of God. The fishes in Beoteng’s tattoo also represent the sun sign of his daughters i.e Pisces.
9. ‘GHANA’ Tattoo
Tattoo: There is a tattoo of the map of Australia inked on the left shoulder of Jerome along with the words GHANA tattooed in the middle of the map.
“ The tattoo started when was I was 16 years old. I was with my two older brothers and they said today we are all going to do the same tattoo but don’t tell your mother so we all went and have our bodies tattooed. It was the continent of Africa a with Ghana inside”, he said.
10. ‘Flower’ Tattoo
Tattoo: There is a flower inked on the upper right arm of Jerome.
11. ‘Mandala’ Tattoo
Tattoo: Jerome has a huge mandala tattoo on his neck which goes down all the way to his head.
Meaning: The was done in his favourite Berlin studio. It is the symbolism of balance, eternity, and femininity. The tattoo also has religious importance. It is the compact and complete representation of the Universe, The Sun, and The Stars.
12. ‘Turtle’ Tattoo
Tattoo: There is a light-coloured turtle inked on the footballer’s right shoulder. It is the symbol of Peace, calmness, and immortality.
13. ‘Jesus and Cross’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The right forearm of Jerome contains the image of Jesus Christ in a standing pose covering the major part of his arm. There is also a cross near the head of Christ.
Meaning: This tattoo is a strong representation of Jerom’s faith in God. The cross is the symbol of Jesus Christ himself and the faith of Christians.
