Roman Troev’s 7 Tattoos & Their Meanings

Roman Vasiliev, better known as Roman Troev is a Russian singer, songwriter, director, MC. Roman started his career as the lead singer of the band, “Saint-Petersburg” and later joined the band, “Red’s Cool” as a vocalist. Roman toured in the US and Europe with the band, before returning to Russia to pursue a solo career and currently runs a vocal coach company, “Troev”.

Roman has some amazing tattoos covering both his forearms. Let us see what these are and the meanings behind them.

1. ‘Pigeons’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The upper side of his left forearm has a tattoo of three pigeons tattooed on it. The rest of his arm has clouds tattooed on it as a backdrop for the pigeons.

Meaning: The pigeons tattooed on his forearm are named, “Victor, Antonio, and Bella” and represent the three pigeons of paradise, light, and truth.

2. ‘Bats’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The inside of his left forearm has a tattoo of three bats on it sitting on a branch with a dark background behind them.

Meaning: The inner side of his left forearm is the opposite of the pigeons and has three bats named, “Hans, Mayson, and Georgia” that represent the dark side and evil.

3. Quote Tattoo

Tattoo: The side of Roman’s left forearm also has a quote tattooed on it that reads, “Una Soli Non Sumus”

Meaning: The quote tattooed on his arm is in Latin and translates to, “We are not the only one”

4. ‘Skeleton’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The left arm of the singer also has a tattoo of a female skeleton on it. The skeleton has orange hair, is wearing a skirt with white boots, and is also holding a flower that is on fire.

Meaning: The tattoo of the female skeleton on his arm is a representation of his wife, Yana Rozner, whom he adores very much.

5. ‘RIP and Star’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The right forearm of the singer has a tiny skull tattooed on it with the words, “RIP” tattooed below it. His right elbow also has an outline of a star tattooed around it.

6. ‘Roach’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The upper part of Roman’s right forearm is covered in a pattern of bones with space in between. There are a few cockroaches tattooed in those spaces between the bones.

Meaning: There are a few cockroaches tattooed on his forearm that are representations of the past fears that he has conquered.

7. ‘Words’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The inner side of his right forearm has a red stone tattooed on it where his elbow folds. There is blood dripping down from the stone too. There is a large black cross tattooed on his wrist with a red band in front of it. There are eight words tattooed in front of this whole design in the Russian language. There is another cockroach tattooed on the inside of his forearm.

Meaning: The words on his forearm represent the eight deadly sins. In Eastern texts, there are 8 deadly sins instead of 7 like in Western traditions. These are Avarice, Gluttony, Lust, Sloth, Despair, Anger, Vainglory,  and Pride.
