Brandon Carrillo Moreno is a well-known Mexican professional mixed martial artist who currently competes in the flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Brandon is known to have made his professional MMA debut in April 2011, in Mexico. He is also known to be a huge fan of Funko Pop and a very dedicated lego collector. 1. Tribal Tattoo
Tattoo: On Brandon’s right shoulder, going back to covering the major portion of his back, there is a tribal design inked.
Meaning: Tribal design tattoo is the symbol of rich culture and heritage. They are the symbol of power, courage, protection, and strength.
2. ‘Jiu Jitsu’ Tattoo
Tattoo: On the inner side of his right forearm, Brandon has got the tattoo of the words, ‘Jiu Jitsu’.
Meaning: Jiu-Jitsu is a famous martial art and a combat sport that involves ground fighting and submission holds. It is a martial art and combat sport based on ground fighting and submission holds. Brandon famous as ‘ The Assassin Baby’ has won the black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Brandon revealed in an interview that he had been working hard and struggling for over fifteen years for his black belt until he finally won it in February 2021. This tattoo is related to his love for Jiu-Jitsu and ultimately his victory in the black belt category.

3. Mickey Mouse Tattoo
Tattoo: On the top left side of his back, Brandon has got the mickey mouse inked.
Meaning: Mickey Mouse, is a famous character from the Mickey Mouse series on the Disney Channel. It is a popular tattoo that represents all the positivity, joys, happiness, dreams, and fun that a person wishes to have around him and throughout his life.
4. ‘Monument- Cuauhtemoc’ Tattoo
Tattoo: On his inner right forearm, Brandon has got the tattoo of Cuauhtemoc.
Meaning: The tattoo is Brandon’s dedication to the famous monument in his city i.e. Tijuana. Cuauhtemoc is known as the last Tlatoani or Emperor of the Mexica. It was part of the dominant culture in the Aztec Empire where Cuauhtémoc is known to have fought bitterly against the Spanish invaders. However, he had to see his people getting defeated and also their huge capital city of Tenochtitlan getting burned to the ground.
5. Dedication to Daughters
Tattoo: On his left shoulder, Brandon has got a logo sort of tattoo which is his dedication of love for his three daughters. This is what Brandon had to say when asked about his arm tattoo.
Meaning: Brandon has got three daughters, named, Maddie Moreno, Megan Moreno, and Morgan Moreno. He had the first daughter in the year 2014, followed by a younger one i.e. Megan on 27th September 2018 and the youngest being, Morgan Moreno. She was born in September of 2020. The tattoo includes three ‘M’s italicized font along with stars on the right.

Tattoo: There is a colourful cool science-related design inked in the shape of a hexagon star.
7. ‘The Clock’ Tattoo
Tattoo: There is a huge tower cum bridge inked on Brandon’s right shoulder. In an interview, Brandon revealed it to be another important monument from his city. It is called ‘The Clock‘ and is currently located in Tijuana. Brandon was born and brought up in Tijuana, Mexico.

8. ‘Sword’ Tattoo
Tattoo: On his left forearm, Brandon has got a sword tattooed. On the outer side of the sword, there is Spanish writing that goes like this,
“este juego no us maraton es un sprint sin línea de meta“.
Meaning: Sword is the symbol of courage, power, strength. The Spanish lines stand for “this game is no marathon for us, it is a sprint without a finish line” when translated into English. If taken into Brandon’s aspect of the game and his idea of playing MMA fights, it means that the small failures do not matter, what matters is the long-going game and the future goal. Thus, he should be motivated and keep going ahead disregarding the failures.
