Benedict Barlow or Ben Barlow is a British punk singer who plays with the Welsh band, Neck Deep. The band formed in 2012 and has won many awards including APMA, Rock Sound Awards, and the Kerrang Awards. Ben has many interesting tattoos on his body. Let us take a look at the ones he has and explore their meanings.
1. ‘Zombie Skull’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The left shoulder of the singer contains a large tattoo of the head of a zombie in green which is half-eaten. The bones are sticking out along with teeth and the brain is also visible.
Meaning: Most of the tattoos of the singer are spooky or weird designs he likes. If he sees a weird tattoo which he likes, he gets it on his body.
2. ‘Man, Woman, and Tiger’ Tattoo
Tattoo: Ben’s stomach contains a large tattoo of a man fighting a tiger. He is evading the tiger’s reach and stabbing the beast in the head. Below this whole scene is a tattoo of a naked woman laying down, with a cigarette in her left hand. The whole scene depicts the man trying to impress the woman by fighting off the beast.

Tattoo: The left arm of the singer contains a tattoo of a cartoon. The cartoon contains the body of a dog but its face has been made by the upper body of a woman.
Meaning: It is another one of the weird designs that Ben liked and got on his body.
4. Mask, Flower, and Cherry Tattoos
Tattoo: The left forearm of the singer contains many interesting tattoos. The upper part of his left arm, just near his wrist contains a tattoo of a flower. Above the flower is a tattoo of a demon mask that has been made out of intricate designs. His arm, just below his elbow contains a tattoo of two cherries.
5. ‘Hawk and Dragon’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The chest of the singer contains two very intriguing tattoos. The left side of his chest contains a large tattoo of a Chinese dragon. The right side of his chest contains a tattoo of a Hawk. Both the beasts have red flames engulfing different places on their body.

Tattoo: Ben’s right leg contains a tattoo of a frog sitting on a log, playing the banjo. The frog is also wearing a hat and there is a housefly to the left side of the frog tattoo.
Meaning: This is another one of the singers weird and funny tattoos which he took a fancy to.
7. ‘Rat’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The inner side of his left knee cap contains a tattoo of a rat which is visibly angry. The letters, WXM are tattooed below the rat.
8. Spiderweb Tattoo
Tattoo: The left elbow of the singer contains a large tattoo of a spiderweb which covers the area around the elbow. There is a small star tattooed on the tip of the elbow and the lower side of his left arm contains a small spider hanging down from the spiderweb.
9. Leopard Tattoo
Tattoo: The upper side of his left arm contains a tattoo of a leopard. The leopard is growling with its mouth wide open and its tongue out. Below the leopard is a tattoo of its claws with four lines of blood to show how the skin has been impaled.

Tattoo: The right upper side of his forearm contains a tattoo of a flower near his wrist. The flower vine continues and covered up most of his right forearm. There is also a small tattoo of a heart being impaled by a dagger. The whole arm is covered with black dots and small stars that bind all of the tattoos together by filling the gaps and completing his sleeve.

Tattoo: The lower side of his left forearm contains a tattoo of a fountain.
Meaning: The singer got this tattoo to signify his young heart as he uploaded the tattoo on Instagram saying that the tattoo is a depiction of the legendary fountain of youth.
12. ‘Eagle and World’ Tattoos
Tattoo: The lower side of his left forearm, right where his elbow folds, above his fountain tattoo, is a tattoo of an Eagle sitting on top of the globe with its wings spread. The globe is sitting on four leaves and a rose flower.
13. ‘Eye’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The left kneecap of the singer contains a tattoo of an eye. The surround of the eye is done with bubbles with eyelashes on each bubble. The background of the tattoo is done in red and it covers all of his knee and a little bit of his thigh.
Meaning: This is yet another example of a design he liked and decided to get it inked on his body.

Tattoo: To the left of his eye tattoo, on the inner side of his left thigh is a tattoo of the face of a black panther with its mouth open.

Tattoo: The area, just above his right elbow contains a tattoo of a small cartoon volcano with the sun behind it. The volcano is erupting with smoke coming out of its top and lava flowing down from it.

Tattoo: To the right of the volcano tattoo, and a little below, is a tattoo of a cartoon with a crown on its head.
Meaning: Again, this is one of the cartoons which Ben liked and decided to get inked on his body.
17. ‘Goblin’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The inner side of his left leg contains a tattoo of a Goblin’s face with its mouth open and a drop of blood dripping down from its teeth. Below the Goblin is a gravestone alone with a banner. The word, “YOUTH” is tattooed on the banner. The banner is encased in leaves.
Meaning: The gravestone alone with the banner with, “YOUTH” tattooed on it signifies how life is fleeing and hence, pays its regards to lost or dead youth.
18. ‘Television’ Tattoo
Tattoo: Just below his eye tattoo on his left kneecap. To the outer side of his left leg is a really interesting tattoo of a television set. There is a human heart sitting on small hills inside the screen. There are three stars and two asterisk marks on top of the television and the set is resting on top of a purple cloud.
Meaning: This is another one of the weird designs that Ben took a fancy to and wanted to get it inked on his body.
19. ‘Calf’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The left calf of the singer contains a tattoo of a smiley-faced man with half of his body. The eyes are made out of dollar signs. The whole world is resting on top of his head with smoke coming out of it. The tattoo is encased between two black and green eyes above who are crying tears which are falling down on either side of the whole tattoo.
Meaning: This tattoo might seem normal at first glance but has a rather deep meaning that mother nature and earth are suffering while we are just paying attention towards materialistic things such as money and not taking care of it.
20. ‘Skeleton Hand and Woman’ Tattoos
Tattoo: The inner side of his right arm, just where his elbow folds contain a tattoo of the face of a woman looking upwards. The hair of the woman is long and swaying and reaches other parts of his arm too. The right bicep of the singer contains a tattoo of a rose flower along with petals. But what’s interesting is that there is a hand of a skeleton coming out of the Rose.
21. Sun Tattoo
Tattoo: The right shoulder of the singer contains a large tattoo of the sun. But just like all his other tattoos, this one also has its kicks. The sun has a very peculiar expression and has its mouth open, showing its teeth and tongue which is hanging out. The rays of the sun have been made by alternate combinations of black and red or black and green colors. The whole tattoo also has dots tattooed around the sun.
22. ‘Pooping Man’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The inner side of his right leg contains a large tattoo of a man who has dropped his trousers and is pooping on the street. The words, “I WOULD LIKE TO DROP MY TROUSERS TO THE QUEEN” are tattooed around the man. The word, TRESPASSING is also tattooed to the right of the man.
23. ‘Snake and Dagger’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The lower side of his right forearm, just below his woman tattoo contains a tattoo of a very colorful dagger with a snake wrapped around it.
Meaning: The tattoo might just have been done because of its peculiar design but the snake and the dagger portray lost love or betrayal which might be the reason that Ben got this tattoo.
24. Torch Tattoo
Tattoo: The outer side of his right forearm, just below his elbow contains a tattoo of a large Torch. The torch is burning with red and orange flames coming out of it. There is also a banner wrapped around the handle of the torch. The word, “PERSEVERE” is inked inside the banner.
Meaning: Normally, a torch tattoo represents unity, strength, or the cycle of life and death. But here, with the banner, it is pretty clear why Ben got this tattoo.
25. ‘Alien Abduction’ Tattoo
Tattoo: A little above the skeleton hand and a bit to the right, on the inner side of his right upper arm is a tattoo of an alien spaceship. There is a green alien sitting inside the UFO and a blue-green light is emitting from below the UFO which is abducting a small man. There are also four yellow and black diamonds around the spaceship and little dots which complete the tattoo.
26. Koala Tattoo
Tattoo: The inner side of his leg contains a tattoo of the face of a koala eating leaves. The koala is wearing a cap and the words, “ND-DOWN-UNDER” are tattooed below it.
27. Umbrella Tattoo
Tattoo: The right thigh of the singer contains a tattoo of an upside-down umbrella on a dark grey cloud. There are raindrops going into the umbrella with the words, “DOOM GLOOM” tattooed around its rod.
28. Bear Tattoo
Tattoo: The right upper arm of the singer contains a large tattoo of a grizzly bear. The bear is ferocious, with its mouth wide open and blood dripping down from it. Then left paw is right beside its head and the right paw with its claws out is also tattooed right below the bear.
Meaning: This is another one of the many tattoos of beasts that Ben Barlow has on his body.
29. Skull Tattoo
Tattoo: The right bicep of the singer also contains a tattoo of a skull, with its teeth grinning. But the skull still has long hair and is wearing a headband. The rest of his arm is covered in dots and stars which bind all his tattoos together and complete his arm.

Tattoo: The upper part of his right forearm, below his elbow, contains a tattoo of a skull with crossbones, smiling with the wings of a bat spanning behind the whole tattoo.
31. Bulldog Tattoo
Tattoo: The singer’s right leg contains a tattoo of a bulldog, wearing a spiked collar and a military helmet along with the peace symbol on it.
Meaning: Ben got this tattoo to show his love for his bulldog, whom he adores very much.

Tattoo: Below the bulldog tattoo, is another tattoo of an eye, with a rainbow-colored cloud around it.

Tattoo: Below the eye tattoo is a tattoo of a large hissing snake, wrapping its body around a skull and emerging from the top of the skull after cracking it.
Meaning: This is also a design that Ben liked and hence decided to get on his body.
34. Demon Tattoo
Tattoo: The right side of his right leg, to the right of the bulldog tattoo, contains a tattoo of the face of a traditional demon design. The demon has its large green teeth out and has green eyes one a red background. There are also two red flowers tattooed on either side of the demon.
35. Scorpion Tattoo
Tattoo: The right leg of the singer also contains a tattoo of a scorpion. There are also a few words tattooed to the right of the scorpion.
36. Leopard Tattoo
Tattoo: The front side of his right leg contains a large tattoo of a leopard, climbing his way upwards. There is another tattoo of the face of a bulldog to the inner side of his right leg.
Meaning: The bulldog is actually Ben’s own bulldog whom he loves very much. This is actually the second tattoo of the dog that he has on his body.
37. Skull Tattoo
Tattoo: The inner side of his left ankle contains a tattoo of a skull wearing a hat. The words, “TREAD LIGHTLY” are tattooed below the skull.
38. Gorilla and Letters Tattoo
Tattoo: The front side of his left leg contains a tattoo of the face of a Gorilla. The gorilla’s face is made out of intricate designs and the words, “DAYS TO COME” are tattooed above it. The area, above his left ankle, contains a tattoo of the letters, “J“, and “W” along with a smile with one of its teeth missing.
39. Ankle Tattoo
Tattoo: There are a few letters tattooed on the right ankle of the singer. His left ankle contains a tattoo of a design that consists of different patterns made out of lines and crosses.
40. Words Tattoo
Tattoo: The sides of both of his hands contain words tattooed on them. The side of his right hand contains the word, “PEACE” tattooed on it where the side of his left hand contains the word, “PANIC” tattooed on it.
