Omar Banos, better known by his stage name, Cuco is an American singer and songwriter. Cuco released his EPs in high school and gained fame with his 2017 song, “Lo Que Siento”. Cuco released his debut album, “Para Mi” in 2019 and is currently signed with Interscope Records. Cuco has many tattoos covering his right arm and a few others on the rest of his body. Let us look at the tattoos he has and explore the meanings behind them.
1. ‘Scorpion’ Tattoo
Tattoo: There is a scorpion tattooed on the right side of the singer’s neck.
Meaning: The tattoo of the scorpion on one’s body represents the ability to control and protect oneself. Cuco might be young but he does not want to become an artist and break milestones. He talks about living a comfortable life along with his parents and a few dogs. He wants his parents to retire early and thinks he will too.
2. ‘Dog’ Tattoo
Tattoo: There is a face of a dog tattooed on his right forearm, just below his elbow with a smiley face on its right surrounded by stars. The words, “RUSTY BOYZ” are tattooed above the dog’s face and the words, “Never Lonely” are tattooed below it.
Meaning: The tattoo of the dog on his right arm represents his love for animals. He used to have a pet cockatoo when he was in high school and also loves dogs. The tattoo of the smiley face represents how he wants to be happy and not lonely as he felt after his heartbreak. He says that heartbreak made him write songs in the first place and he would not be here if he never suffered a heartbreak.
3. ‘Snake’ Tattoo
Tattoo: There is a large snake tattoo covering the upper side of his right forearm that is wrapped around a few flowers and also has a rose stick behind its head.
Meaning: The tattoo of the flowers along with the snake represents his passion for music and also eternal life. The tattoo is also used to symbolize blinding passion and temptation.
4. ‘Tank’ Tattoo
Tattoo: There is a tank tattooed on the inner side of his right forearm that is mounted with two large cannons.
5. ‘Ship and Diver’ Tattoo
Tattoo: There is a spaceship tattooed on the inside of his right forearm as well. Below the ship is a tattoo of a diver who is seen in the diving pose surrounded by lines and stars.
Meaning: The spaceship on his arm is a Fighter Ship from the Star Wars franchise which is one of his favorites.
6. ‘Mime’ Tattoo
Tattoo: There is also a mime tattooed on the inside of his forearm with his hands joined.
Meaning: The mime on his arm represents the power of expression as a mime acts to depict everything without uttering a single word.
7. ‘Flower’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The lower side of his right wrist has a rose flower tattooed on it with a circular pattern behind it. The lower side of his arm has another rose flower tattooed on it.
Meaning: The tattoo of the rose flower on his arm represents beauty, promise, hope, and a new beginning. The tattoo represents the new beginning that he had after his tough time during his heartbreak. He has another tattoo for the same on his right hand.
8. ‘Skull’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The right hand of the singer has a skull tattooed on it along with a rose stick.
Meaning: The rose is the symbol of life and the skull represents death. The tattoo design on his hand gives the idea of the birth of a new life after a struggle or obstacle.
9. ‘Amor Beso’ Tattoo
Tattoo: Each of Cuco’s fingers has a letter tattooed on it. The letters on his right hand’s fingers spell the word, “AMOR” and the ones on his left hand’s fingers spell out the word, “BESO”
Meaning: Both the words tattooed on his fingers are from Spanish. The word “Amor” is Spanish for “love” and the word, “BESO” is Spanish for “kiss”.
10. Design Tattoo
Tattoo: There is another tattoo on Cuco’s body too that has not been fully revealed. His left forearm has a circular design tattooed on it.
