Jack Robert Avery is an American singer and songwriter. He is also a part of the Boy band, “Why Don’t We”. He used to play piano as a kid and switched to singing. Jack rose to fame when his social media posts and YouTube covers went viral. Jack has many little tattoos on his body. Let us take a look at them and the meanings behind them.
1. ‘Sun’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The left upper arm of the singer has a tattoo of the sun on it. There are also different planets and stars tattooed below the sun in the form of a line around his arm that reaches up to his forearm.

Tattoo: The word, “FREE” is tattooed on the back of Avery’s left arm, just above his elbow. The backside of his right arm has the word, “SPIRIT” tattooed on it. There is also a pair of dice tattooed above the word behind his right arm.
Meaning: The word represents how Jack feels free from the world’s responsibilities and lives his life to the full, free from worries. He explains his personality as a free spirit. The tattoo of the dice on his arm is a symbol of a great chance. The tattoo represents how Jack and his bandmates found each other out of luck. He said, “it was the roll of a die that we all found each other”
3. ‘Rose and Solar System’ Tattoo
Tattoo: There is also a rose stick tattooed on the side of his left forearm. The tattoo of the stars and planets starting on his upper arm reaches down and ends on his forearm.
Meaning: The tattoo of the rose on the singer’s arm shows his love for his sister, Isla Rose Stanford. Isla is also a singer and songwriter and also the instrumentalist for the band, “Why Don’t We”. Jack has two other sisters too, Sydnie and Ava. The tattoo of the planets represents equality for all.
4. ‘Ups and Downs’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The inner side of his left forearm also has a few letters tattooed on it. The letters are, “G>∧∨”.
Meaning: This is a special tattoo for the singer as he got this matching tattoo with his mother. The tattoo represents, “God is greater than ups and downs” and is a motivational tattoo that shows his faith and his belief. Life might be full of ups and downs but God is greater than these petty encounters and one should have faith in him.

Tattoo: Jack’s neck on the left side has the roman numerals, “VI.II.LXXIV” tattooed on it.
Meaning: The numerals represent the date, “6-2-74” which represents the date of birth of the singer’s mother, Kristin Stanford.
7. ‘Finger’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The index, middle, and ring fingers of the singer have symbols tattooed on them.
Meaning: The symbols on his fingers represent the idea of qualities. While talking about the tattoo, Jack said, “with faith and integrity you have the power to do anything”
8. ‘Lion’ Tattoo
Tattoo: There is the face of a lion tattooed on Jack’s right hand.
9. ‘Quote’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The upper part of his right wrist has the words, “LET IT BE” tattooed on it.
Meaning: The quote on his wrist represents the name of his favorite inspirational song by the Beatles, Let it be.
10. ‘Card’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The upper side of his right forearm has a tattoo of the Jack of Hearts card tattooed on it. There is also a four-leafed clover tattooed above the card.
Meaning: The tattoo of the card on his forearm represents himself as his name is Jack. The four-leafed clover design represents good luck.

Tattoo: The inner side of Jack’s right forearm has a tattoo of the face of a woman on it. The woman’s face is made out of artistic patterns and geometric shapes.
Meaning: The tattoo of the woman on his arm is a tribute tattoo for Frida Kahlo. Jack wrote on his Twitter, “Frida Kahlo was an artist way back when and she used to lay in bed all day and paint out her dreams and I tell people in a way I feel like with god’s guidance I’m doing the same thing. I also got compasses as earrings because now I’m traveling the WORLD.”
12. ‘Number, Tree, and Piano’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The side of his right forearm has a tattoo of the number, “18847” on it. There is also a tree without any leaves tattooed next to the number. Below the tattoos is another one of the keys of a piano.
Meaning: The number on his arm represents the zip code of his hometown in Burbank. The tree mainly containing roots represents the idea that he has not forgotten his roots and loves where he came from. The tattoo of the piano on his arm is special because he started learning piano with his dad who also used to play the instrument. He switched to singing after learning how the play the piano.
13. ‘Eye’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The upper right arm of the singer also has an eye tattooed on it. The quote, “LORD TEACH ME WHAT I CANNOT SEE” is also tattooed around the eye.

Meaning: Jack got the tattoo in 2020 and his sister, Sydnie revealed that the tattoo shows his love for his daughter, Lavender Avery. Jack started dating Gabbie Gonzalez in 2018 and the couple gave birth to a daughter, Lavender in 2020.
