Margo Price’s 7 Tattoos & Their Meanings

Margo Rae Price is an American country singer, songwriter, and producer. She released her debut album in 2016, “Midwest Farmer’s Daughter” that she recorded in three days. She is accompanied by her band, the Pricetags.

1. ‘Tree and Birds’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The left shoulder of the singer has a tattoo of a large tree on it with three birds sitting on its branches.

Meaning: The tattoo of the birds sitting on the tree represents the Birds of Rhiannon. Margo explained her tattoo, “The birds were said to wake the dead with their song and to lull the living to sleep.”

2. Name Tattoo

Tattoo: Margo’s right upper arm has two names tattooed on it, just above her elbow.

Meaning: The names tattooed on her arm are the names of her twin sons, Judah Quinn Ivey and Ezra Alan Ivey. She gave birth to twins in 2010 but sadly, Ezra passed away due to a heart condition a couple of weeks after his birth. She has another tattoo on her body too, dedicated to her sons. Margo also gave birth to a beautiful daughter, Ramona Lynn Ivey in 2019.

3. ‘Arrow’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The side of her right hand has an arrow tattooed on it.

Meaning: She got this arrow tattoo with a few friends at the black spot tattoo company. The tattoo of the arrow represents a heading or direction in life.

4. Side Tattoo

Tattoo: The left side of Margo’s body has a tattoo of a few words tattooed on it. The words are, “Give me back the pieces to my heart” separated by a line in the middle. The word, “pieces” is not inked and is represents by two puzzle pieces tattooed in the word’s place.

5. ‘Eagle’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The side of her right thigh has a tattoo of a simple design of an eagle with a few sea waves tattooed below it.

Meaning: The tattoo of the eagle represents wisdom, spirituality, as well as the American spirit.

6. ‘Skull’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The left side of her left thigh has a large tattoo of a Buffalo’s skull tattooed on it.

Meaning: The tattoo of the Buffalo skull on her thigh represents the name of her old band, Buffalo Clover. The tattoo also represents her hometown, Buffalo Prairie, Illinois where her family owned a farm that they were forced to sell.

7. ‘Foot’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The outer side of her left foot also has a line tattooed on it.

Meaning: The tattoo is rarely seen but the words on her tattoo are, “gypsy wanderer of the world”.
