Raheem Shaquille Sterling is an English professional footballer. He plays in the Premier League for Manchester City and also for the England National Team as an attacking midfielder as well as a forward. Raheem Sterling has many tattoos on his body. 1. ‘Palm Tree’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The lower part of Raheem’s right forearm contains a tattoo of a palm tree.
2. Portrait Tattoo
Tattoo: The upper left part of the footballer’s arm is covered in a tattoo of a portrait of a little baby girl wearing a bow on her head. Below her, is a banner. The banner reads the name, “Melody”. Just below the banner is a tattoo of a large rose flower.
Meaning: Raheem got this tattoo to show his love for his daughter, Melody Rose Sterling. The banner and the rose flower together make her name, Melody Rose.
3. ‘Clock Tower’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The upper part of the attacker’s right forearm adorns the tattoo of an old clock tower.
4. Thigh Tattoo
Tattoo: One of his largest and sweetest tattoos is on his thigh. The Manchester City star’s left thigh contains a tattoo of a man kissing a little kid.
Meaning: The tattoo is actually a tattoo of himself kissing his baby daughter, Melody Rose. The tattoo was done from a real-life moment.
5. ‘Cross, Stars, and Love’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The middle part of his chest contains the tattoo of a large cross. Both of his collar bones contain the tattoos of a star in different colors. There is another little star to the right of the star on the left side of his chest. Raheem’s stomach also contains a tattoo of the word, “love” inked on it just above a kiss tattoo made out of a red lipstick mark.
6. ‘Palms and Eye’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The inner side of his right forearm, just below his elbow, contains a tattoo of an eye. The inner side of his wrist also contains a tattoo of 2 palms trees.
7. ‘Boy and Kimberly’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The inner side of the footballer’s left forearm contains a tattoo of a little boy holding a football, in front of a large stadium with birds flying above the stadium. The inner side of his wrist also contains the name, Kimberly inked on it with a crown over the K.
Meaning: The boy standing in front of the stadium is Raheem himself. He gave shape as a tattoo to one of his childhood dreams of representing his country, England playing football. The boy is also wearing a jersey with the number 10 printed on it which is actually the number that he now wears for the England National Team. Kimberly is the name of his beloved sister, for whom he got the tattoo.
8. ‘City’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The side of his left wrist contains the tattoo of the view of a city with a few buildings in the background and a subway sign which reads, Underground.
9. ‘Girl and the Birds’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The right shoulder of the footballer contains a tattoo of an angel with wings. A large black bird is flying over the angel. There are a few more birds in the background.
10. ‘Bird, Grave, and Jesus’ Tattoos
Tattoo: There is another tattoo of an eagle on the inner side of the footballer’s right forearm. The inner side of his left forearm contains a tattoo of Jesus Christ crucified. There is a tattoo of a little grave on a little hill just below this one.
Meaning: The Jesus tattoo represents his religious views.
11. ‘Gun’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The right side of Raheem’s right leg contains a tattoo of an AK-47 gun.
Meaning: This is one of the most controversial tattoos in modern football history. However, Raheem told that this tattoo has a deeper meaning and represents his vow of never touching a gun which he took when he was a little boy and his father was shot dead.
12. ‘Flying Birds’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The right side of the footballer’s body contains a tattoo of three birds flying around the world, “The Familias.”
Meaning: This is another one of Sterling’s tattoos which show his love for his family.
13. ‘Kgn’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The upper side of his forearm, just below his elbow contains a tattoo of the letters Kgn inked on it which represents his birthplace ‘Kingston, Jamaica’.
14. ‘Poem and Quill’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The left bicep of the attacker contains a little poem of 4 lines inked on it. Just below the poem are two flowers and a tattoo of a quill beside a little inkpot.
