January Jones, the Mad Men actress during the lockdown practiced some self-care routine while she was at home during the cold 19 pandemics. January Jones has ever since been a huge practitioner of relaxing beauty rituals which she even documented and put up on social media. However now, she has decided to try something a bit more experimental which is tinting her eyebrow at home, using pro tips.
January Jones showed the whole process step by step on her Instagram story as she applied a temporary eyebrow dye to give her arches a new tint. “DIY brow dyeing will keep you posted. Sincerely, Groucho,” Jones humorously titled the first picture of her with the tint used on her eyebrows.
Then she posted another selfie in which the dye appeared to be quite darker than before. “Was busy posting and forgot to set a timer. Tell me when,” the actress further stated. In the third and the final picture, the actress finally took up to say, “Like now?” Although the actress said she would share the final results, she did not really show off what the final results would look like yet. Neither did she show the products that she used to dye her brows at home. However, there are plenty of kits that can be found all over the internet as well as recommended by top beauticians.
The whole process is not as hard as it seems. “Tinting your brows at home is surprisingly easy,” states celebrity brow specialist Ramy Gafni, who works with Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, and Rihanna. “The key is to select the correct color and formula,” he adds further.
Gafni’s also gives a superb tip if you want to get the best tinting experience saying: “Choose one that is two to three shades lighter than your eyebrow hair color. But if your brows are completely gray or pale blonde, then go two to three shades darker.” However, if the color ends up being darker than it was expected to be, there are tips and tricks to fix it at home. And those tricks too, are super easy.
“If it’s too dark, shampoo your brows two to three times to speed up the color fade,” Gafni says. “If you feel the color is too light, you can correct it by tinting the brows a darker shade.” Besides this, the actress, January Jones, shares that if you want to color just the brows and not the surrounding area, you need to apply a thin layer of Vaseline around the whole skin. “Then any dye on the skin will wipe away easily,” she comments. But even if you do not have any Vaseline right on you at the moment, you need not worry. “Even if you don’t add a protective layer, the dye will wash off of your skin easily when you shower,” Gafni says.
- Emma Watson

Instead, fill it in with a cream-textured product to create a bigger groomed shape that doesn’t look overdone—my favourites are Suqqu Brow Liner, Anastasia Liquid Brow Liner and Tom Ford Brow Sculptor,” says Rowe. So how does she put it on Cara? “Always apply in brush strokes in the same direction the hairs naturally grow. This will have a see-through quality and look more natural as it won’t be heavy or solid.” Did you note it right?

Luckily, they did, but from then on, I only let one person touch them, who has been shaping them ever since. Recently a makeup artist used a glue stick (applied with a finger) to set my brows. Unlike eyebrow gel, it doesn’t flake off. It does work and washes off easily with warm water.” Well now isn’t that a pretty little secret?
- Reese Witherspoon

I use a touch of brow gel to keep her brows very pristine with an ‘up and out’ brush up.”
- Jennifer Connelly
Another famous celebrity who has a set of famous eyebrow tells her secrets in an interview to Vogue US and says that her personal approach when it comes to eyebrows is that, “I try and leave them pretty natural. I do a little bit of minimal brow wrangling myself. I get the strays out of the way. The only time I really shaped them was way back when I did A Beautiful Mind. They are pretty straight so it takes a lot of work to get them arched. I think that with anything, you go with what suits you.” However, she has also tinted her brows on many occasions and really likes the approach!
