Megan Anderson’s 14 Tattoos & Their Meanings

Megan Anderson is an Australian professional Mixed Martial Artist. She is currently signed to the Ultimate Fighting Championship and has also won the Invicta FC Featherweight Championship. Megan is known for her unique tattoos in the UFC. Most of her tattoos are designs that she liked but there are some on her body that she got after getting advice from others. Let us take a look at them and the meanings they hold.

1. ‘Angel’ Tattoo

Tattoo: There is a tattoo of an angel on her right bicep with rays of shine done in the angel’s background.

Tattoo: The inner side of her right forearm contains a tattoo of the face of a man which is half morphed into a skull. The rest of her arm contains smokey designs tattooed on it. There is also a bridge tattooed on her upper right arm.

Tattoo: The upper right arm and shoulder of the fighter contain a portrait of a woman tattooed on it with her hair slowly merging into feathers that cover the rear side of her upper arm.

4. ‘Sun and Moon’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The upper side of her right forearm contains a large tattoo of the sun tattooed on it. There is also an angel with its wing spread across her forearm tattooed below the sun. The angel’s face is dark hidden behind a cowl. Similarly, her left forearm contains a tattoo of the moon with little bats flying in the night and a tattoo of a warrior wearing a heavy armour tattooed below the moon to cover the rest of her left forearm.

Tattoo: There is a skull tattooed on her right hand along with some bands and smoked lines tattooed to complete her right hand’s tattoo.

Tattoo: The left upper arm of the fighter is covered in a large tattoo of a warrior wearing a horned mask and a skull as a belt. There is another warrior tattooed just above her elbow.

Tattoo: There is a tattoo of a warrior woman in full armor on Anderson’s left bicep.

Tattoo: The inner side of her left forearm contains a few lines tattooed on it.

9. ‘Skeleton’ Tattoo

Tattoo: Megan’s left shoulder contains a tattoo of a skeleton with wings, wearing the crown of a king, holding a ring in its hands, and reaching towards her chest. Similarly, her right shoulder contains another such skeleton with wings, wearing a queen’s crown, holding a dagger tattooed on it.

10. Waist Tattoo

Tattoo: The words, “STAND SURE” are tattooed on Anderson’s waist along with a design with them that has not fully been revealed.

11. ‘Viking Woman’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The left side of her left thigh contains a tattoo of Viking Woman on it. The woman is holding a sword in her hand and wearing a winged Viking Compass in her hair. There is also a bird tattooed near her left shoulder.

Meaning: There are a lot of tattoos of warriors and Viking women on her body that represent her fighting spirit. The Viking compass is a design consisting of eight runes joined together with staff and is a symbol of guidance and protection.

Tattoo: The front side of her left thigh contains a tattoo of a ship with huge sails tattooed on it in a dark theme. Below the ship is the face of a man tattooed who is screaming.

13. ‘Devil’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The backside of her left leg is covered in a dark design. The moon is tattooed behind the Viking woman and the face of the devil can be seen emerging from the blackness on the backside of her left upper leg. The devil is clawing on staff and the darkness spreads downwards till her left ankle.

14. ‘Castle’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The front of Megan’s left lower leg is covered in a large tattoo of the gates of a castle. The castle is again inspired by Norse and Viking designs. The design extends to her left foot and covers it too. There is also a tattoo of the faces of two creatures along with horns on the fighter’s left hand.
