William Grier is an American professional football quarterback. He plays in the NFL for the Carolina Panthers and played college football for Florida Gators as well as the West Virginia Mountaineers. 1. Cross Tattoo

Tattoo: The outer side of his left forearm contains a cross tattooed on it.

Meaning: The tattoo of the cross represents the religious views of the player. It represents the central part of his faith, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to save humanity.

2. ‘Forest’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The left shoulder of the athlete contains a large tattoo of a scene of a forest on it. There are clouds and rays of shining over fir trees. There are birds flying through the ranges. There are also rose flowers tattooed below the trees.

Meaning: The tattoo is really important to him. The tattoo pays a tribute to West Virginia. The scene of the mountainside is really important to him as he grew up on the East Coast and loved the Appalachian Mountains. The West Virginia scene completely mesmerized him when he visited it for the first time and the tattoo is also tied to his second daughter,  Adeline who was born there. He also has Adeline’s date of birth tattooed on his left bicep.

3. ‘Lion’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The left side of the player’s chest contains a large tattoo of the face of a lion on it.

Meaning: The lion is the symbol of pride as well as strength. The tattoo represents Will’s personality and also serves as a symbol of protection for his family.
