Tattoo: On his back, Charlie has got a tattoo of some symbol which he believed to have seen in his dream and wanted it always.

Meaning: He got it done in 1999 after falling in love with the actress, Katharine Towne, during the classic teen drama, Dawson’s Creek’s audition. Exactly after three weeks into the relationship, Charlie had got the tattoo. On the day of getting the tattoo, he and his girlfriend randomly decided to run away and get married. Thus, at 2 in the morning, Hunnam married Towne at the Silver Bell Wedding Chapel. Sadly, their marriage did not survive and they got divorced in 2002, so, Hunman calls this tattoo to be a regret.

“very bad idea for many reasons.”

I have a tattoo actually on my back which is a huge pain in the ass because every time I need to take my shirt off in the show, they need to cover my tattoo and lay the other tattoo on top of it which is a really time-consuming process.”

Charlie while being in the role of the famous, Sons of Anarchy got some temporary tattoos done which are often mistaken to be permanent ones. But, the reality lies here, that Charlie just has a single permanent tattoo on his body.
