Prince Royce’s 2 Tattoos & Their Meanings

Geoffrey Royce Rojas, known professionally as Prince Royce is an American songwriter, singer. Royce, who was born to Dominican parents, released his debut studio album, titled under his name, Royce in 2010. Since then he has released a couple more albums and has also collaborated with many artists such as Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez among others. Royce has also appeared in a few films and television shows as himself including the famous Lip Sync Battle. Royce has a few tattoos on his body. Tattoo: The right bicep of the singer contains a large tattoo of a compass. The compass is tattooed on a background of a grey map. If you look closely, you’ll notice that the north pointing needle of the compass has been replaced by an arrowhead.

Meaning: Royce got the compass tattooed as music is his direction and he knew it was the path that he wanted to follow from a young age.

2. Shoulder Tattoo

Tattoo: The artist’s right shoulder contains one of the most beautiful tattoos ever seen. It contains a mashed up design of the face of a lion. The lion’s face contains glimpses of the skyscrapers of New York City. There is also a large clock on the face of the lion. The lion’s mane continues upwards and covers up the rest of his shoulder. Below the shoulder is a large tattoo of a Rose flower.

Meaning: Royce got the tattoo of the lion as it is the king of the jungle and he thinks that his personality is similar to that of the beast. He got the tattoo of the New York skyline tattooed on his arm as it is the city where he was brought up in and inspired him to take the music line.
