Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, popularly known as XXXTentacion, was an American rapper, singer, and songwriter, who started his music career on SoundCloud in 2013. On June 18, 2018, he was fatally shot just at the age of 20, but he had made a huge fan following during his short career not only because of his unique hip hop style but also for his number of different tattoos and distinctive colored hair. After his death, a number of his fans copied his tattoos style to pay a tribute to him. Let’s read further to know more about his tattoos and their different meanings.
1. ‘Alone’ Tattoo
Tattoo: ‘Alone’ Tattoo above his left eyebrow.
Meaning: XXXTentacion had an alone tattoo just above his left eyebrow. In an interview, XXX called all his tattoos as self-explanatory. He defined the concept behind his alone tattoo and said,
“Alone is the biggest concept for me. Alone is literally my idolization. People whether they are in relationships or amoung thousand people, you are still alone. Your lies are not known to the people. Your sins are not known to the people. Nobody knows your story, nobody knows your feelings, and therefore nobody really understands you. Hence, we are all alone.”
He even admitted the fact that ‘to some extent, nobody in really understands him’ and that’s why he had inked this tattoo.
2. ’17’ Tattoo
Tattoo: ’17’ Tattoo on the upper right corner of his forehead.
Meaning: ‘17′ is the name of XXX’s debut album which released on August 25, 2017. This album has writing over it stating,
“my sanity left me when I was 17, my heart broke beyond repair when I was 17, I realized the pain is and always will be a cycle when I was 17.”
This album of him gained a lot of popularity and even got a positive response from critics. There were rumors that the number 17 denotes the number of times he tried to commit suicide.
3. ‘DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR’ Tattoo
Tattoo: ‘DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR’ Tattoo on his right cheek.
Meaning: XXXTentacion got the text, ‘DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR’ on his right cheek representing his loyalty towards his family, friends, and fans stating that he would die before betraying any one of them.
4. ‘2 Sets of 3 Dots’ Tattoo
Tattoo: ‘2 Sets of 3 Dots’ Tattoo just below and above his right eye.
Meaning: XXX got ‘2 sets of 3 dots’ inked just below and above his right eye. On his social media profile, He tweeted,
“They meant the beginning, the rise, and the peak. I prefer to interpret them instead as the rise, the peak and the fall.”
5. ‘Loyalty’ Tattoo
Tattoo: ‘Loyalty’ Tattoo on the jawline.
Meaning: XXXTentacion had explained that all his tattoos are self-explanatory. He believed the concept of loyalty to the core. According to him, he would remain loyal to his family, friends, and fans. Probably that was the reason that he got the word loyalty inked on his jawline.
6. ‘Broken Heart’ Tattoo
Tattoo: ‘Broken Heart’ Tattoo on the upper left side of his cheekbone.
Meaning: XXX had seen lots of ups and downs in his life. Seventeen was the age when his life changed completely. He was left all alone when his heart was broken beyond repair at that time. He considered himself always the one with the broken heart. So, he had got a broken heart inked on the upper left side of his cheekbone.
7. ‘Clock’ Tattoo
Tattoo: ‘Clock’ Tattoo on the left side of his face.
Meaning: He had got a clock inked on the left side of his face representing how time was precious for him. He even said,
“Time is valuable..Do not waste it.”
8. ‘Cleopatra’ Tattoo
Tattoo: ‘Cleopatra’ Tattoo on his chest.
Meaning: Cleopatra was XXXTentacion mother’s name. He had always been very close to his mother. Just when XXXX was six years old, he tried to stab a man who tried to attack his mother and was eventually put into the youth program. To express his love and affection towards his mother, he got her name inked on his chest.
9. ‘Star’ Tattoo
Tattoo: ‘Star’ Tattoo on the left side of his nose.
Meaning: Star tattoos are generally symbols of good luck, protection, and guidance. But no official statement was made by XXXTentacion for the reason behind getting this tattoo.
10. ‘Theatre Masks’ Tattoo
Tattoo: ‘Theatre Masks’ Tattoo on his right bicep.
Meaning: Theatre Masks tattoos are generally symbols of the balance of life, representing both ups and downs, happiness and sadness, and chaos and order. XXXTentacion’s life had always been very controversial. Might be to represent his phases of life, he got the theatre masks inked on his right bicep.

Tattoo: ‘Numb’ Tattoo just below his right eye.
Meaning: After facing so much in his life, XXX realized that pain, betrayal, and disappointments were recurring phases of his life. So the only option left was to act like a numb to overcome all such negativity. Probably that was the reason that he got the word numb in a red font inked just below his right eye. According to several sources, he might have got this tattoo inked when he had his first heartbreak.

Meaning: XXX got the elephant’s head inked on his neck. This tattoo supposed to represent XXX’s passiveness while also being aggressive when proved, just like an elephant. He even had uploaded a video on his social media profile with his girlfriend by saying,

Meaning: Lines in black and red color were inked on his nose probably representing balance in life.
15. ‘Remember To Remember’ Tattoo
Tattoo: ‘Remember To Remember’ Tattoo on the right side of his neck.
Meaning: XXXTentacion got ‘remember to remember’ tattoo inked on the right side of his neck. He confessed,
“remember who you are, where you came from, and stay in touch with your true self. Everything that’s happened to you, your experience, is what makes you, you.”
16. ‘Crescent Moon’ Tattoo
Tattoo: ‘Crescent Moon’ Tattoo on the right side of his shoulder.
Meaning: Crescent Moon is generally a symbol of intuition, psychic abilities, creativity, and wisdom. XXX had never confessed the reason for getting this tattoo but once he said,
“I think of you every time I see the moon”
Probably he was talking about his girlfriend.
17. ‘Ankh Cross’ Tattoo

Meaning: VR all stars-Members Only is an Amerian hip hop collective formed in Broward County, Florida in 2014. It is closely related to Very Rare and members of both collectives call themselves VR All-Stars. Being a member of this group at that time, XXXTentacion got VR-Very Rare tattoo on the right side of his abs.

Meaning: WRAC is an acronym of word Wing Ridden Angel Cynthia. XXXTentacion got this inked on his right hand.

Meaning: Aiden is the name of XXXTentacion’s younger brother. He was very close not only to his mother but also to his younger brother Aiden. So to express his love towards him, he got his name inked on the inner side of his right forearm.
